“I started teaching Conversational Afrikaans from our home in Fish Hoek in 2012, with my son and two friends. Within just three months, it grew to 90 students — a launch I never imagined!”

One Saturday morning, a Grade 4 learner arrived at my door in tears, unsure of what to study for her Afrikaans exam. She had walked to my house for help. I dried her tears and helped her summarise her work.

Today, we offer CAPS and IEB Afrikaans work packs for Grades 4–12 on our website, helping learners everywhere succeed.

Conversational Afrikaans classes launched for Grades 4–7

Expanded to High School Afrikaans with the addition of tutors

2019
Expanded to include all subjects up to Grade 12

Chit-Chat now facilitates over 400 lessons weekly with a team of 50–70 dedicated tutors.

Following the shift brought on by COVID-19, we moved online — allowing us to support learners across multiple countries.

We also continue to offer face-to-face lessons in Fish Hoek, Rondebosch, and surrounding areas.
